Progression Part 3

The deadline is looming and with only two days to go the final editing is well underway meaning you'll get to listen to the documentary very soon, how exciting?

The script is finally finished and voiceovers were recorded earlier today. It merely took a good two hours for the voiceovers to be perfected because it has to sound as exciting as possible!

Once enough energy was gathered, I quickly edited the links for the documentary so that you (the audience) is guided through the story every step of the way. It's vital for each interviewee to be introduced but in a creative way so with a little playing around this is what the documentary was starting to look like...

It was a hard decision to make once I had gone over by 15 seconds, as the documentary is only 7 minutes so it has to be perfect. I decided to cut a little bit of Katy's interview towards the end of the piece, as the description of virtual reality that she gives is very similar to the beginning of the documentary. Even though I want the piece to focus on how immersive virtual reality is- the key to changing mental health care. I had to steer the attention of the story on the future of mental health care rather than virtual reality at that point.
